What is an Equipment Workshop?

During your PADI Divemaster course at Roatan Divers, you learn a lot - how to guide, how to assist instructors on PADI courses, and how to be a leader, mentor and ready member of the professional scuba industry.
While meeting your Divemaster performance requirements is important for certification, we also like to add extra training programs, like an Advanced Peak Performance Buoyancy workshop, Advanced Navigation workshop, and an equipment workshop.

As a proud Mares partner, we have not one, but three Mares certified equipment technicians on staff. Since all of our rental equipment is Mares and most of our Divemaster trainees choose Mares equipment for their personal gear, we are in a good position to show our trainees the components of regulators and how to service them, as well as how to troubleshoot basic regulator and BCD problems. The Roatan Divers equipment workshop is a great addition to a well-rounded professional education, and gives you a greater understanding of equipment and the industry. Many of our candidates show an interest in becoming certified technicians after the workshop, so we know that people definitely want to know more about the equipment that is their lifeline!
